I am slowly but steadily loosing weight. However, sugar seems to be my undoing. Sometimes I just get this craving for sugar! I will do OK for a day or two, but then I find myself grabbing a candy bar at the check out stand or putting ice cream in the cart! Yikes, how do I get control of this sugar addiction of mine?

My weakness is more salty/fried foods but I think it would be the same type of thing since it's the addiction.....for me, the ONLY thing that has ever worked is full out quitting, cold turkey, no cheating. For me, cheating is a VERY slippery slope!!
With me - it's all or nothing. Are there other things that you could have to still get the sugar without going so far as to submit to candy or ice cream? My sis goes for fruit (strawberries and blackberries mostly) with a *little* bit of whipped cream. |

Water is an important factor in total wellness, it contains many minerals and is needed for good nutrition. Water can help in controlling sugar cravings. Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day. And Begin your day by eating a balanced breakfast. Make sure you have protein and complex carbohydrates.
