Default Can't Sleep....

I keep waking up in the middle of the night (or sometimes VERY early morning). I pretty much don't have to be up until about 7 or so, so waking up at around 4am isn't exactly desireable.

I have no problem falling asleep, but I can't get back to sleep once I wake up! I've tried staying up later, but that doesn't really do anything! Help!

Default Tips

Treatment varies, according to the specific sleep disorder, but can include psychological strategies. Better consult a doctor. Some tips are; follow good sleeping habits. Go to bed only when sleepy. If still awake, leave the bedroom and return when sleepy. Get up at the same time each morning regardless of the amount of sleep during the night. Discontinue caffeine and nicotine in the evening. Establish a daily exercise program. Avoid alcohol because it may disrupt continuity of sleep. Limit fluid intake in the evening. Learn and practice relaxation techniques. Medications.
