I got kicked out of Sunday School for asking those kinds of questions!! I got sent to the bishops office. Luckily for me he was a very nice guy, he tried really hard to answer all my questions and if he didn't know the answer he would admit it and try to find it. I met with him every sunday for several weeks, but then he left the church. (left the entier denomination) I was blamed for it and felt terrible. It seems my questions caused him to question. I was in big trouble and no longer allowed to speak in Sunday School and my friends could not play with me. I think I was 8! Anyway we moved soon after and so that helped, but I left the church when I was 18 and it took several years for me to find one and give religion another chance. I still don't know all the answers. But the Bible does talk about serpants, so who knows.

Though rather than find someone to help me answer the questions they just told me I was naughty for questioning God and the Bible (what a great lesson, huh?)

I was really young when this happened too.....I was so frustrated. We went to a church where my Dad worked, so when he left the church when I was twelve I pretty much gave up. I would go to the new churches where my Dad would work, but I never "bought" it after that.

Eventually, I came to terms with my own notion of faith, religion, etc. But I do think that some of my problems with religion stemmed from my experiences as a young child.

So sorry that the congregation put all of that on you though! I just got a reputation for being "naughty"!
