Okay, I realize this may sound absolutely, completely crazy, but I've never really had a headache before.
Until today. I'm usually pretty good with pain/illness, but this is NOT fun!!! I also don't normally take medication for things unless it's absolutely necessary (antibiotics, etc.) I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've taken tylenol, advil, etc. My guess is that since I NEVER get headaches, this is very possibly a precursor to something else (head cold coming on, flu, SOMETHING)....but if it IS just a headache - what do I do??? (Believe me, I feel ridiculous asking this question at 26 years old!!!!) |

I find Exedrin to be the best thing for my headaches. I've been getting migraines a couple times a month since for about the last 10 years and for all but the really bad ones, it knocks them right out after about 20-30 minutes.
If you're against taking anything for it, putting an ice pack at the base of your skull helps a bit. Putting it on your forehead can also help... different spots work for me at different times.. kinda depends on where it hurts. Also, drinking something with caffeine can help too. |
