Has anyone tried to get thier medical expense account to pay for over the counter stuff? I have heard it can, but sadly we always have enough other expenses to use it all up. They seem to ask for documentation to back everything up. You would think they would beleive that our co-pays which are always the same amount and paid to a clinic would be medical without needing to back it up! Same with prescriptions. Then when I got a new c-pap, they refused, we told them you must have a prescription to get it so they said they would pay for the c-pap, but not the humidifier part of it. So I had to get the doctor to write a note that it's medically nessesary. Anyway, with all those hassels I was wondering if anyone was successful at using it for over the counter meds.
