Default St. Patrick's Day Party

I'm hosting our monthly girl's Pokeno party in March and it happens to be right on St. Patrick's Day. I think it would be fun to prepare a foods with a St. Patrick's Day theme. I'm just not sure what that is! LOL

Any cool menu ideas?

Ok, you can do green mashed potatoes (just green food coloring), irish stew (I would have to get the recipe from mom), things like that. Also, there is a candy called Irish Potatoes or something like that--absolutely awesome! Google Irish food and you should come up with lots of ideas!

Corned beef and cabbage is a classic irish meal, but not everyone loves it. Something easy that we used to do was cook sausage in a crock pot (EASY!) and pour in a bottle of Guiness, an Irish beer. It cooks down the alcohol and tastes yummy! Definitely on the potatoes, and the green food coloring is great in potatoes or clear beverages - just remember, you need WAY less than you think!!! My hands used to get so stained when I worked in an Irish pub on St. Patty's.

My menu is made more complicated at it is also Lent and many of my friends won't eat chocolate. Maybe a mint cream pie for dessert?

I love the idea of doing green potatoes. I was thinking about doing corned beef and cabbage in the crock pot for those who would eat it - if they're not queasy from looking at green potatoes -
