Start by talking to your OB - s/he might be able to make a recommendation.

If not, then take a look at your insurance and find out who is covered and who isn't. Ped's used to do 'meeting visits' for parents - that doesn't happen much any more.

I'll talk to my OB and see what she says. My insurance is great and covers pretty much everyone in my area. However, my area (Fairbanks, AK) is pretty ruralesque, so there aren't a huge number of options...

I wonder if there are any online resources you could tap into. I got some recommendations through a Yahoo group for moms in my city. And I got some good info on a doctor to avoid!

You might also try asking your local Public Health Nurse.
