So I go to the doctor cause my psoriasis is going nuts. (inverse psoriasis) and the doctor has to call in another one. They think I may have a systemic staph infection. They put me on a couple of additional medications (including antibiotics) I would have thought that would mean IV antibiotics, but I guess not. Anyone ever diagnosed with this?

Well, I am very interested in the possibility of a systemic staph in the case of my son’s ailments. His symptoms match yours greatly. To this day, no one has diagnosed him. We’ve been trying to figure out his exhaustion and other symptoms since three years, when he suddenly took faint and ill with staph sores coming and going on his face and leg for 2-3 mos.

When the bacteria become systemic, it has spread from the skin to the body systems, which means it has spread to the bloodstream and also in bone and muscle. You can also spread to other organ systems to create damage and abscesses. When it reaches the level of infection can be fatal.
