That is so scary, and she is so young. I can kind of understand the letter thing, I bet she gets tons and tons of letters and if all his said was that he was in love with her, she probably has lots of wierdo's writing that, unless he made a threat I don't think the police would have looked into it. Famous people get tons of mail and a lot of it is strange. It does sound like her family is taking steps to keep her safe. I read somewhere that someone blamed the sexy dresses she wears on the show, but I think he was obsessed long before that.
