We live in a very turbulent school district. We have great teachers, but an awful administration. We are losing teachers because of this and because of poor budgeting (Even before the recession) which led to low paying teachers. What can I do to keep the good teachers around? Or is there any other way I can get involved that would help?

The only way to help would to write letters to the board of education there and keep writing them saying the kids are starting to suffer because of the aweful administration. Get other parents involved too. Otherwise you are stuck.

An administrator can make or break a school! Teachers with low moral cannot make a difference in your child's life. Let the superintendant know what is going on, go to school board meetings and discuss your concerns, better yet--run for a school board position! The school board has a lot of power when it comes to setting the tone and leadership of the district.
If you do nothing, you send the message that what is currently happening is OK
