Default Words and Actions....

Obviously, the loss of a child is one of the most tragic losses I can imagine. Recently, a family friend found out she was going to lose her baby upon her birth, but she decided to carry to term rather than terminate (which normally wouldn't be done but since the baby was 100% certainly not going to survive was an option).

The baby was stillborn last month, as was the funeral.

There are three other children in the family. A twelve year old, a four year old, and a two year old.

Though I hope no one has experience dealing with this, if you do, how did you? At get togethers, there is an obvious absence....I personally never know what to say or do.

Any advice or thoughts are appreciated.
